Halloween Birthday Party!
It is fall! North Wilkesboro is decorated with Halloween ornaments. Wherever you go, you will see Jack-O-Lanterns, spiders, haystack, scarecrows, ghosts, haunted houses and witches. when it comes to celebrations, i means costumes. Yesterday, October 17, we were hosted at a friend's place to celebrate three birthdays. It was awesome! We had great fun and savored delicious American, Panamean, Brazilian and Jamaican food.

Thanksgiving in Washington DC
Since we arrived in NC, my son and I have visited some places in the US. We have traveled in NC to visit friends, go shopping, and have fun. The first out of state trip we took was to Washington, DC. It was a wonderful trip !
We left North Wilkesboro on Wednesday and returned on Sunday. The six-hour trip was great. We were six people, 4 adults and 2 children, so we rented a van and took turns driving. We stayed at a hotel and in the morning we took a shuttle to the nearest subway station. We were not confident to drive around Washington, so we took the subway to visit some monuments and museums there.
Washington DC is awesome! There are lots of museums, monuments and attractions there. http://www.thedistrict.com/

Fun, Fun everywhere!
Hello everyone,
here I am in North Wilkesboro, NC. Since my son and I got here, we have been learning and sharing a lot! We live in a small town, about 5 hours from Raleigh. We have enjoyed this exchange program experience. Although North Wilkesboro is a small and quiet town, last week we had some fun during the 31st Apple Festival. It was very colorful and lively. In the picture, I am in Melody Square, where there was a gospel concert at 3:00.
